Nvidia's cheaper GeForce GTX 1060 cards have just 3GB of memory but cost more than AMD's 4GB Radeon RX470 cards, showing that you can't always judge a graphics card by how much memory is soldered to its PCB. We've looked at the effect of graphics memory on the p50. While there are some instances where our tests surpass 3GB, the underlying GPU is so strong that the limited numbers and quantity of memory rarely has a noticeable impact on results.
The memory gap between the GeForce GTX 1060 3GB and its 6GB bigger sibling isn't the only one; the 3GB cards have a significantly reduced GPU, with 1,152 stream processors vs. 1,280 stream processors in the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GPUs. The rest of the specs are the same, with a base clock speed of 1506MHz that can be increased to 1708MHz, an 8GHz (effective) GDDR5 memory frequency, and a 192-bit broad memory interface.
The GeForce GTX 1060 3GB was just marginally behind its 6GB equivalent in our tests, despite having fewer stream processors and less memory. Even more significantly, it consistently outperformed the more expensive AMD Radeon RX480 cards in several of our tests. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (an AMD Gaming Evolved title) is an exception, as it failed to reach a playable frame rate of 2,5601,440.
The 3GB GeForce GTX 1060, on the other hand, dominates almost every other measure, including Doom, where it achieves incredible performance. It also managed to hold a minimum of 32 frames per second in Fallout 4 with Ultra settings at 2,560 x 1,440. At 2,560 x 1,440, the RX480 cards were marginally faster in The Witcher 3, but the GTX 1060 3GB has enough headroom to allow features like Nvidia HairWorks, which will drastically reduce performance on AMD GPUs.
With the GTX 1060 3GB mounted at full load, your test rig only used 243W, showing fantastic output per watt – even if you forget the AMD GPUs' occasional power spikes and take the overall result, the GTX 1060 3GB uses less power and generates generally faster frame rates.
Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1060 3GB hits the precise sweet spot in terms of bang for buck and output per watt, with excellent frame rates, low power consumption, and a meager price. Even if you replace the price in our scientific spreadsheet with the overclocked MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 3GB card we reviewed, which is quiet and well-designed, the overall score is still 3% higher than the reference AMD Radeon RX480 4GB card.
The TU166 Turing GPU is used in both the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and the GeForce GTX 1660, with the caveat does not support RTX functionality DLSS and ray tracing like the RTX 2060. It does, however, include Nvidia's latest streaming multiprocessor, which provides for various performance-enhancing tweaks and updates such as enhanced caches and increased bandwidth, which Nvidia says provides drastic changes over the GP106 Pascal-based GPUs' equivalent software.
In terms of clock speeds, the GTX 1660 Ti and GTX 1660 are virtually identical; however, the latter has a higher base and boost frequencies. The GTX 1660, on the other hand, has more Cuda cores and a faster GDDR6 ram than the GTX 1660, resulting in a lower memory density of 192.1GB/sec compared to 288.1GB/sec. On paper, the GTX 1660 already has what it takes to be an impressive 1080p HD gaming card, with a promised 15% performance gain over the GTX 1060 6GB and up to 30% over the similarly-priced 3GB variant of that card.
Despite its low spec, it delivers incredible performance and efficiency for the money. In Deus Ex, it struggles at Ultra environments, but it's a simple winner in terms of value for money.

MSI Nvidia Gaming GeForce RTX 2080
The Geforce RTX 2080 is one of the most potent gaming cards available, especially in the RTX series.
This Turing card's value justifies its comparatively high price, and it is just marginally constrained compared to its more dominant siblings and rivals on our list of the best graphics cards. So, unless you need 4K 60fps output, the RTX 2080 Ti can be replaced with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080.
The RTX 2080 outperforms its predecessors in every way, with more CUDA cores, quicker GDDR6 video memory, and the first factory overclock on Nvidia's Founders Edition cards reaching 90Mhz.
Tensor Cores are also awe-inspiring. Nvidia says that by incorporating artificial intelligence into standard graphics cards, all Turing-based GPUs would be able to process anti-aliasing eight times faster. The RTX 2080 also has a new Deep Learning Super Sampling function that makes supersampling and anti-aliasing even more effective at the same time.
Nvidia's recent super-simple overclocking features depend heavily on those AI-injected Tensor Cores. Popular overclocking applications, including EVGA Precision X1 and MSI Afterburner, have launched beta versions of the latest NV Scanner API, which effectively tweaks the GPU's micro-voltage curve checks for safe overclock speeds and voltages.
The RTX 2080 from Nvidia GeForce is undoubtedly more costly than its predecessor. Fortunately, it's powerful enough to decrease the price bump. With remarkably higher standards than those of the GTX 1080, the new GPU is substantially more significant than the GTX 1080 Ti and Titan Xp.
The RTX 2080 is not as powerful as the RTX 2080, but no significant graphics cards can be as powerful as 2080. If you pick up this new RTX graphics card, you will experience a more considerable output in the games.
In addition to our benchmarks, the Nvidia RTX 2080 reached 40 fps in the 4K Shadow of the Tomb Raider and the fastest possible settings. Destiny 2 delivered much better numbers with frame rates of 60-75 fps, 4K, and Ultra again, let alone HDR enables.
But the RTX2080, even then, cut it tight at Ultra-HD resolution to deliver the agreeable, silky and flat frame rate.

The GTX 1070 offers excellent high-level output at a deep discount for previous-genre flagships. It is all the same as the 1080 –, due to its superb price per frame, it may be argued that 1070 is a better phone. This is the ideal option for 1440p games.
Those that oppose 1070 are going to make a grave error. 1070 is one of the best money value deals available with a single "Pascal" DNA for 1080. It is a list that is the first for any PC user to experience 1440p without judder.
The card, on paper, is not just a significant upgrade on the 970; against the Nvidia GTX 980 Ti, it can even stand its own.
The use of Pascal architecture by Nvidia in the 1070s plays a significant role here. Nvidia's former Maxwell GPU Architecture is succeeded by Pascal. It boosts Maxwell with a smaller method that reduces the chip's production nodes from 28 nanometers to 16 nm.
Nvidia can fit more transistors on a minor part of silicon with the Pascal architecture, thus increasing efficiency while reducing the power consumption to just a limited 150W.
Thanks to Pascal Nvidia squeezing 1,920 CUDA cores into 1070 – the GPU foot soldiers perform the most complicated machine lifts. This is a significant increase over the GTX 970 card of Nvidia that has 1,664 CUDA cores. This is another considerable increase on 970s 1,050MHz core clock speed; the 1080 clock speed is significantly faster, at 1607MHz. Nvidia is increasing the rate from 1070 to 1,506MHz.
The lack of memory of GDDR5X should not be a challenge to me, and you can't be too upset if you consider the affordable price of 1070. A 256-bit 256-bit bus with a memory bandwidth of 256GB/sec, 8GB of GDDR5 would satisfy the most popular gambler's needs.
It is also a significant upgrade on 970, a chronic concern because of lack of memory.
The GTX1070 and 1080 are powerful, and multiple GPUs contain all kinds of complications, mainly because they do not like VR headsets and game engines.
Although the GeForce GTX 1080 GB/s GDDR5X boasts 8GB, Samsung's 1070 is 8Gb/s GDDR5. As a result, memory bandwidth is highest in a good 256 GB/s round, or 14% higher than GeForce GTX 980. Thanks to the 384-bit interface, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti and Titan X have more power than 1070. (as do several AMD cards with 384- and 512-bit buses). However, Nvidia insists that our GTX 1080 analysis discusses improving delta color encoding, which results in 20% more efficient bandwidth by reducing bytes.
As far as SLI support is concerned, nothing changes: Two GPUs are still the limit, while 1070 owners will offer access to the same 1080 unlock key, allowing both the three and four-way settings. Similarly, GeForce GTX 1070 boasts an 8-pin connector for power supply through the 16-lane PCIe slot.
