How to Fix Desktop Window Manager High CPU (DWM.exe)

How to Fix Desktop Window Manager High CPU (DWM.exe)

The Desktop Window Manager is a program that manages visual effects on your computer. The manager can give you nice things like glass window frames and 3D transitions for windows, which makes it one of the most popular programs in this category!

In order to solve high GPU issues with DM (Desktop Management), try making sure there aren’t any graphics-heavy apps running at fullscreen before hitting play or accessing anything through another app’s notification panel while playing games. It might also help if these don’t have open tabs because they use up more memory than other types do–and RAM becomes scarce when swiping between screens rapidly.”

Change Display Settings

If you’re having trouble with your graphics card, try changing the display settings and see if that helps.

It is possible for Desktop Window Manager to cause high GPU problems because it’s related to screen effects like everything else in this world! With any luck, lowering down on some features will solve all of our issues so let’s take care now, shall we?

How DVM is responsible

Desktop Window Manager is an essential service that allows you to maximize your computer’s performance. This process runs in the background, and it takes up some amount of CPU usage but can cause high GPU scaling on Windows 10 if not fixed properly; however, there are ways for users who experience these issues without compromising their system stability or security!

When using Microsoft windows as well as any other operating system such as macOS Sierra (10) — be aware that certain applications may create processes knowns by names like “Desktop,” which might use more memory than expected while running due to either lack o̵ resources available within its allotted span

What is DVM

When you have multiple high-resolution screens, DWM.exe can be handy because it allows Windows to fill visual effects like desktop icons and transparency when running on an external display without being limited by just one monitor’s resolution or refresh rate which would cause artifacts in the framebuffer output (e..g., tearing). If your computer has other built-in components such as NVIDIA users might also take advantage of Thumbnail Activity Detection so their default taskbar always shows live thumbnails for all open applications regardless if they’re currently visible; this service is especially helpful when using laptops since there isn’t really enough space leftover from physical keyboard inputs.

Disabling the Screen Saver

It’s possible that Screen Saver is consuming too much CPU power. To fix this, we’ll need to disable it and check if the issue has been resolved in our case by scanning for viruses with Windows Defender or Office 365 Protection Plans enabled as well to make sure there aren’t any nasty malware already hogging all your resources!

Malware Protection

Malware is a major cause of the “Desktop Window Manager” issue on Windows 10. Therefore, we need to scan our system for infections using one or more of the best antivirus utilities like Systweak Antivirus before it gets too late and potentially irreversible damage has been done! For an in-built security tool, you could try using Defender with Microsoft’s built-in protection features if desired; however, there are other options available such as Cylom (which offers better malware detection rates) which can be used instead without any extra installation hassle whatsoever

Remove Specific Application

If you are reading this point, it seems the above solution didn’t work. Hence, we suggest that in order to resolve your issue with DWM not loading please follow these steps: Turn off SetPoint and OneDrive so they don’t run automatically when Windows boots up again; make sure there isn’t an additional program running from Task Manager which is conflicting with other processes like Media Players used for streaming videos on websites such as YouTube, etc.; if none of those solutions help then try uninstalling programs one at a time until something works!

The system might be unstable because various applications were all installed together without being processed sequentially first–so edit them individually instead before removing any package entirely.

Reinstall Graphics Driver

Graphics hardware is responsible for visual representations on your computer. If the drivers are outdated or corrupted, they can be causing the high CPU usage and cause problems such as crashing games! In this case, you may update them to solve any glitches caused by an improperly functioning graphics driver which will also help with performance issues in other programs that use it as Adobe Photoshop CC (but not always).

Your best option would just reinstall though since updating might introduce new bugs into a system without looking at what changed before/after installing each different version released over time.
